Book Characters: A Contest
START DATE: JUNE 13th 2010
END DATE: JULY 13th 2010
A favorite childhood book or fictional character … we all have one, don’t we? What I want you all to ultimately aim for in this contest is to take one of your favorite fictional (or non-fictional) book characters and show them in a whole new light! Truly capture their essence in the form of your preferred art medium. Show them in a funny costume, fighting one of their foes, or maybe just posing for the camera … it doesn’t matter! What I am looking for is the most innovative, inspirational, and jaw-dropping representation of a book character. Your submission can have more than one character in it. Also, make sure to make it clear as to who the character is. For example, the character name needs to be mentioned either in the piece, in the title, or in the description box. FYI: Comic books / graphic novels are allowed!
Again, like in any of my contests, if you are unsure about your submission just show it to me via note and I will tell you if it's ok or not. Don’t be afraid of me, I don’t bite! Haha
The following mediums are acceptable:

Digital Art
Traditional art
(no ceramics or sculpture sorry
)

- No artistic nudity, vulgar language of any sort, or anything inappropriate
- Maximum of 2 entries per person
- in order to enter you must
me if you haven’t already and send your entry(ies) to me via note. In the subject box write “Contest” or “Book Character contest” or something along those lines. Please include a thumb or a link to your entry in the note.
-once you have uploaded your piece, make sure you have mentioned either me or this contest in your description box
-your pieces do NOT have to be new! They can be old or new submissions.
-there will be three winners as well as an additional honorable mention winner
